My mother moved into The Berkshire Assisted Living. They're understaffed, and it's not that good for me. I guess it's not their job, but they won't help her walk to places so she could get stronger. They always make her take her wheelchair. Sometimes, they forget to check on her because they're understaffed. But my mom is comfortable there and they're not treating her poorly. Her room is as plain as could be. There's a little dresser in there and some built-in closets, but certainly not homey or cozy by any means. She does not like their food. She very seldom likes their food. She says their eggs are terrible and they give her chicken all the time. They've got the activities listed on the board. They say they play bingo and stuff, but I don't know if they do. The lady that was doing the activities just quit, so they don't have an activity lady anymore. The place is clean, but there's nothing extra. The staff is very good. It's an older building, but they keep it up. The grounds are all kept up. Everything's kept up and nice and clean.
