I had an in-person tour of Sunrise of Wilton. The facility was clean. The organization was manageable. The atmosphere is wonderful. The rooms were relatively good. They were huge, but a livable space for seniors to move around and feel comfortable in their setting. The staff was very compassionate, caring, loving, and communicable. They have a lot of activities, like making sure that the seniors walk around. They had games and people coming in.

The staff are excellent; however, there is not enough of them. The community opened their doors during COVID, and the pandemic has been difficult to work with in Connecticut. The community is beautiful, brand new, and it looks like a hotel that is well maintained. The staff are great to work with if the family has questions or concerns. There is housekeeping, room, laundry services, and meals that are included in the monthly fee. There can be additional fees for medical care. The community has been able to assist with medication management, one person assists, bathing, and sometimes hygiene care. Some of the activities they have available are live animals brought in, entertainers, games, and more for the residents to choose from. The food is excellent, it would be better if there was more variety for the residents to choose from.
