My dad moved into Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care 2 weeks ago. The place is very nice and the people are friendly. The staff is very helpful and concerned about his well-being, and they helped me move him in. My dad's room looks nice with a nice view out the window. Their dining area looks nice, and it looks like the residents are being served their food adequately. I like the surroundings of this facility. It is located in a residential neighborhood with a lot of trees along the street.

Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care was very nice. The person I was supposed to meet wasn't able to meet with me, so they had somebody else give me a tour that normally doesn't do it. So it was a pretty quick tour. We went in and saw the facilities. Everybody was very nice. It was very clean. The room that we saw had a bathroom that was easy for the residents to get in and out of. They also had an area in the bathroom where they could lock up their things. The few people I met were very friendly. It's just the tour wasn't as encompassing of the whole facility as the other facilities that I had gone to.

My dad moved into Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care. The location is the reason why we chose it. So far so good. He has complained about a couple of things, but that's just to be expected. From what I expected, it has been above and beyond. I even had the actual nurse from the facility call me a couple of times. When he first moved in, he wasn't being cooperative, but I think he was just being a little lazy to kind of see what he could get away with, and she told me about it, and that's what I told her, and she's like, "Oh, okay. I got it." She went up there that night for dinner and she made him get up out of bed, stand up on his own, get into his wheelchair, and she's like, "He definitely can do more than what he was leaning on to." The interaction with the nurse and the administration staff has been great. They're always extremely friendly every time I go in there. My dad even said that there's quite a few people that have come into the room to help him, and he really likes them. I bought him an extended toilet seat, like three inches taller, and I was going to put it on myself, but I didn't want to break their toilet, and so I waited. I called the nurse about it and she's like, "I'll just have our maintenance guy go up," and she had him up there the next day. For me, so far with every expectation, it has been above, so I'm very satisfied. They've had a couple of activities. Like on Veteran's Day -- my dad is a veteran -- they basically forced him to go down there so he could listen to them thank all the veterans and all that. He was pretty happy about that. The nurse and the staff said that the more he can get around a little easier, the more activities he can go and start to do, like movies, bingo, and the different stuff that they have on during the day. I love the place. It is really nice. It smells clean. It's not rundown and it doesn't smell like piss or anything like that. It's very well kept. I got to see his room before my dad moved in, and everything was spotless. There's a huge bathroom, which is really good for him being partially handicapped. I really liked that. He was kind of confused on bathing, but they just told him, "Sit in your wheelchair and we're going to wheel that right underneath the shower." They just dried it off like that, so everything worked out really good.

Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care was a very nice place. They showed us a 1-bedroom unit, but they didn't have a studio available to show us. They have a set fee, and then they have add-on charges if they need to do the medication or if they need somebody to get them for meals. They explained everything to me. They provide the appliances like the microwave and the refrigerator, but you have to bring in your own furniture. The staff was very personable and very knowledgeable. They took us to the outdoor place where the residents can go, and it was very nice and tidy. It was just right off the dining room, so they could eat out there if they wanted to. The dining area is restaurant style and you can choose from the menu.

I toured Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care. It looked like a very clean and current facility. However, almost everybody I saw was in a wheelchair. The staff were very caring. It seemed a little dark compared to the other facility. They had a gym, a salon, and a theater, and those were all nice. It seemed like a large facility. In terms of location, there is a hospital within a couple of miles. The upkeep was very good.
