What a wonderful establishment! Warm and inviting- friendly. Truly impressed with the professional demeanor of the staff. Haylee was extremely cordial and kind. She planned a very festive Valentines Day event that brought the Summerfield residents together for a creative writing workshop. Servers Taylor and Teri were most accommodating and made me feel right at home, attending to all my needs. The community is clean and well managed. And all the residents are so friendly and welcoming. I look forward to attending future events.

This place is a disgusting and understaffed joke. Their housekeeping team loves to state that the resident refuses to let them throw stuff away to the point where 5 rotten bananas and 6 bags of potato chips was thrown away when we moved my FIL out. We found mold around his bed and moths crawling all over things. Housekeeping either doesn''t clean or they are so short staffed that they don''t care. Regardless, I''m glad my FIL will not live in this overpriced garbage dump any longer. I would highly recommend you stay far away from this place.

I went on a tour of Summerfield Estates Retirement Community. What I liked best about them was the price at the time and their food was decent. What I like least is that it looked like it needed new carpeting and needed updating. The rooms were okay, some were being updated, so they were being a little bit more modern. They had a small weight room, an activity coordinator, access to free laundry, your apartment cleaned once a week, and they all had air conditioning. There were enough activities, though they could have had more. The residents had their choice of being as busy as they wanted to be since stuff and classes is going on during the day. For somebody that doesn't cook, their food was pretty good, it was decent. The portions were good and they don't use salt in their cooking.

I would recommend you ask lots of questions, and for the staff to be honest. There was a lot of turnover of staff while here. The communication with the staff was not good, as there was a lot of friction between managers and assistance managers. This community is run by Seventh Day Adventist, and the food is based on their preferences and wishes. The activities were non existent as the community lost their bus driver.

The biggest advantage at Summerfield Estates was that I would have all the amenities of the retirement community that I live in now. Our clubhouse is just right on the premises and so I will have access to all of the amenities that we have here, the clubs, the social things, and everything else. The staff was nice, cordial, and helpful. The facility was a little older, but some of the things had been somewhat updated and they were adequate. I could live there myself. The dining area had a nice atmosphere and I happened to know a woman who lives there. I had lunch with her and she enjoyed it. The food wasn't quite as good, but it was plentiful and they have a soup or salad bar as an alternative or you could also have it with your meal. It's kind of built in a square with an opening in the middle that has grass and flowers and things in there. So that's still nice. They have an open space outside, but there's not much surrounding the buildings.

Summerfield Estates was a good facility. It seemed like their level of care was great because the residents all looked happy. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about them. I was shown the large studio apartment, and it looked excellent. They don't provide the towels and linens, but they will change the bed once a week to have them washed. They have transportation, and they have activities everyday. The staff was wonderful and friendly. All the residents and staff know each other by name. You can tell that they genuinely care about each other, and that was very comforting.
