I love my brother. A fall at home causing a broken femur, was the "Icing on The Cake", of a year plagued by health challenges. Living 500 miles away, I hadn''t realized how much his morale and home situation had deteriorated. Brian Trout from Stonewall assisted us in the major transition from independent to assisted living. The staff enjoy my brother as he does them. He has kept his dearest old friends, and seems happier than he has been in a long time.

Stonewall Gardens is a small facility. There are only 20-some-odd rooms. It seems like it would be very congenial, but it's a little bit farther away, and I'd feel a little bit isolated there. I just feel I would be more comfortable closer to home. It's also a little bit more expensive than the other place. It was lunchtime when we toured, and the staff had a couple of interruptions, but he was very personable and very helpful. He showed us three places and they were all very nice. I saw the menus. They offer three meals a day, seven days a week. Some of the people living there were eating when I walked in.

They do everything they can to include my family in the day-to-day life of his life. I know if there are any health or emotional changes in real time. I hope you''re lucky enough to entrust your loved one to this excellent care.

I’m not sure I can say enough good stuff about this place! My brother moved to Stonewall a few years ago having suffered from several health issues. As the years progressed, his issues grew. But Brian and the whole crew at Stonewall take such good care of him I don’t think I could or should take over his health care again. Recently my brother had cause to be taken in an ambulance to urgent care. I thought I’d have to bring him home to Minnesota to care for him but I realized I can’t. Stonewall is his family now. And with the amazing care he gets there I know he is in the right place. Love the entire staff at Stonewall Gardens!!!

I went to Stonewall Gardens. I had great hopes for it, only because of the community, but once I saw it, it was unacceptable. It's a converted motel and the rooms only had studios, and they were just too small. Once I looked at it, I realized that I would not be happy there. The staff was very lovely, very warm, and welcoming. It does not appeal at all. They had one common room, which they used for dining, for crafts, and everything else, it's just a very small facility. They had a separate dining room. It was well kept up and well maintained.
