In February of this year, my 88-year-old mother, who had been living with us, fell and broke her hip. Through the wonderful guidance of Nikki Wulff (Assisted Living Locators), and after prayer for God to open and close doors for us, we placed my mom at St. Joseph Villa, first for rehab, and then, as a result of her quickly-worsening dementia, to begin long-term care. I am thankful every day for the people there and the facility. From the frankness of Pam in admissions in letting us know how hard they have worked to overcome some issues from past years (and that they are still working), to the helpfulness of Hector in scheduling my visits with Mom in the specialized unit as well as outings, the kindness of Rachel (social services), the hard work of Jodi (Asst. Director of Nursing) in keeping me up-to-date on medical issues, to the sweet Brenda who drove Mom to her doctor''s appointments, and most especially to the nurses, aides, and activities staff who work so hard to take care of my mom now that I can''t, I just want to say how much I appreciate all of you! I have been the recipient of help from many there, not only doing their jobs, and keeping my mom fed, clean, and safe, but also doing extras like finding her cell phone and keeping it charged, but a special thanks goes to Nurse Melody. She is frequently mom''s nurse during the day, and is not only good at dealing with Mom''s ups and downs, but she also takes time to keep me posted, answer my questions, and provide encouragement during this difficult time. To all of you there at St Joseph''s Villa, thank you for the peace of mind you have brought our family.
