Do NOT use this facility for rehab!!!!!!! My step-father was transported here from Jewish Heart Center after his numbers were looking really good after triple bi-pass heart surgery. He was placed on an external defibrillator, and we were assured the nursing staff taking care of him was trained on this specific machine. The first morning after he got there, we showed up to find him in a diaper (with very bad bed sores from his hospital stay) and the C-PAP equipment he needed to sleep with still sealed. Several excuses were offered with promises of “getting it right tonight”. I explained to the staff (which I should not have had to explain!!) that with his bed sores, a pull up/diaper with feces in it would cause severe infection and could kill him. The next morning, his C-PAP was hooked up but he had a diaper on again! The staff that seemed to come in to the room only upon our visitations stated that they didn’t know if the defibrillator was working or not because there was nothing on the screen. When I pushed the 2 buttons simultaneously to light the screen up (as any trained person would know) they brushed it off with, “oh, there ya go, it’s still working”. Mind ya, he was being helped up and to the bathroom before he was released from the hospital. We know he had a long road to recovery but he was making strides before being transferred to this facility- I had to explain to the staff that he did not come here to die, as he was being treated, but to regain strength and come home. The whole family was so disgusted by the negligence and lack of effort from the staff that my mother started paperwork immediately to have him released to home, even before his full rehab. Unfortunately on day 4 my mom got a call from the facility that he had passed away at 5:30 in the morning. When she got there at 7 the defibrillator was STILL ALARMING!!!! Yeah- they knew absolutely nothing of this device that was designed to save his life!! They only got him out of bed when there was an “audience”, they continuously kept him in a diaper with severe bed sores, they refused to put his C-PAP on, they did absolutely no therapy, which was the whole reason he went there- they honestly treated him like a person in a busing home sent there to die, and then they let it happen!! There was no sign of hun not making it through, until he got to this facility, and 3 days later he was dead.

Definitely a dirty nursing home not a good place to work. They cancel too much with agency then have the audacity to offer contract shifts #ajoke this is exactly why you’ll never be fully staffed with ppl that will actually STAY because you don’t know how to treat the workers. Signatures will forever be a revolving door and understaffed. They always cancel but I always find shifts paying way more so they actually do you a favor by canceling your shift. And not to mention they have several agencies coming through the door bc they can’t keep workers lol that says it all right there avoid this nursing home at all cost.
