Serenity House was great. The director was super helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed looking at this place. I liked that there were multiple options for houses. We were hoping this would be the one that would work out for my father's level of care was just too high. They did have activities.
My mother is in Serenity House. Overall, it's very good. The only issues are pretty much related to COVID. If it weren't for that, I think she'd be very content. They've never let us in because of COVID. All I've done is seen pictures, but it's a group home situation. She has her own room. There's only a maximum of ten residents. She gets a level of personalized care given the smaller size of it, but I've never been inside. We're on our way to visit her right now and we're gonna see her on the back patio. The have activities, but a lot of that's been curtailed. She plays bingo on Fridays and she gets her hair done from time to time. I'm not familiar with any other group activities because they're really not trying to get the group together. The price was a major part of our decision. They're not inexpensive, but I consider them to be a very good value.
