My Uncle had been living there for about a year and 2 months. Till he was hit on the head with hoisting bars. It was done intentionally by a nurse all because she was being ruff with him and all he was tell her to be careful with his foot that she was hurting him. So she told him to behave and decided to hit him on the head with hoisting bars. Not once or twice.. but 3 TIMES!! They covered up for her! They kept her employed! 2 weeks after this happened he passed away and he still had bumps on his head! I wished I would of known more about his injuries on how serious they were because I would of pressed charges on her and my uncle would probably be alive now! And not have to have seen him in the coffin yesterday! This place is a major NO NO for your loved ones! So sad for the few good nurses there because of the bad ones that work there! Before he passed they used to hide my uncles things for punishment! After I called the nurse abuse line and reported this incident all of a sudden his things reappeared before his passing. Now we are having a very hard time for an autopsy to determine the real cause of death! My poor uncle was a very nice and humble man. Zero Stars!!!

The place has been in bankruptcy over like a year now. They never even finished fixing it after the hurricane and electricity don't work in a lot of places, the carpet is moldy and stained, and there is not enough staff to help the people. The times I have visited my mother, I see the same old women sitting in front of the TV falling out of their wheelchairs or asleep while staff is on their phones! At least the lady who was running the place is gone cause she was never there anyway. I heard they have a company trying to fix it but it should probably be closed.

We have been looking for a place for our mother. We went there on a weekend and the staff was playing with each other while residents room lights were going off. The hall smelled like someone had an accident and didn't clean it up. The laundry room door was open and there were extra clothes in there and not one of the machines was working. It was not good.
