I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility. My dad broke his hip 3 weeks ago and I had him transferred from the Scranton, Geissenger hospital to the Scranton Health Care Center for his rehabilitation and physical therapy. I had to arrange this from my home in Los Angeles (sight unseen.) However, after speaking to Stacey BLACKLEDGE, the director of admissions and social work for SHCC, she explained my father would be in great hands and she was right. Once I flew out to Scranton, Pa to see my dad here, I was grateful I had made the right choice. The staff here is AMAZING. I have visited my dad 2-3 times a day for 9 days straight and everyone is so professional, kind and friendly. I’ve been in many nursing homes and care facilities when my grandmother was alive and broke her hip and it wasn’t always pleasant. I can’t begin to explain what a relief it was to see such a clean care center with a pleasant and friendly staff. Every LPN, RN and CNA is amazing. It’s a 44 bed unit and everyone is so well cared for. Thank you to Stacy, Jennifer, Michelle, Andi, Rose, Nancy, Doug (the activities director) Barb, Donna and Lynn the fab physical therapist! (Im sure I’m forgetting someone!) My dad, Tony, was blessed to have such caring and kind people look after him.

A lady who barely knows how to speak English is rude and cruel about answering simple questions
COVID outbreak underway at this facility. Not forthcoming with details, treatments, tests, and withholding information at every turn. Likely in violation of several statutes.
Horrible place..should be shut down! If I could give zero stars I would!
I have recently joined the team here at Scranton Healthcare as the Assistant Director of Nursing. The team here have been extremely welcoming and the level of professionalism is above and beyond. So excited to be part of this team.
