Savannah Grand of Sarasota was OK. I wasn't too impressed, but they did some renovations from the last time we were there. That was right close to my house. So, we could just walk in there. It's a place where you have to bring your own stuff. They would not provide it, but they had a good-sized room. Nothing wrong with it. I think the day that we were there, walking through, there was this odor, but then the lady was saying, "Oh, well, there was a gentleman there and not doing very well and that's the odor you smell." I wasn't too thrilled with that. In other places, I didn't smell anything. It doesn't mean anything, but I go by smell, so I didn't care for it. The staff were very nice and very informative. They gave us a pie. It was good.
Read moreI would highly recommend Savannah Grand of Sarasota to others for their loved ones. I feel the staff have a genuine concern for the residents that are coming in to the community. The communication has been very good with the family, if we have any questions or concerns about our loved one.
The nurse is excellent at this facility. The food is delicious, and the activities and the activity director is amazing. The facility is smaller and this helps the residence from being overwhelmed and the care is more personalized. I would recommend this community to others. Make sure that you v...

Read moreI loved this place, the food was good. It was very homey and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were very nice and well laid out. My only concern was that the facility was supposed locked at night but my loved one left the facility one night. I would definitely recommend the community

My dad died [date removed] at age 89 at Savannah Grande. He had a heart attack when he fell out of his bed in the night and was a mess in the early morning hours after spending most of the night on the floor. My mom is 90 years old and payed the bill through the end of December. All of his belongings were out and donated to another Resident in an assisted living home a week or two later. My 90 Year old mom has been billed EVERY SINGLE MONTH since my DAD DIED last year and is very confused. She has called S. Grand Many times and so has my brother but the BILLS KEEP COMING. I am going to the States Attorney next as this is violating Senior PROTECTION LAWS in the State of Florida. It was bad enough that my dad had a bad ending at S. Grand but to HOUND a 90 YEAR old Woman who lost her husband is SICK! I am completely disgusted in the Management of Savannah Grand.
