This facility is appalling! The rooms are shared rooms, there is not much space to move around. The toilet Room is shared among four people, it’s a jack and Jill situation. Several times there would be nasty tissues on the floor. Plus there were times the toilet was not flushed. The meals arrive Luke warm to cold. My husband had neck surgery so he was very limited on his movements. He was not to bend over, nor turn his head from side to side. He had a roommate that unplugged his TV three times, took his mouth piece and ear plugs, turned off the overhead light, during the times my husband went on walks with a walker. He did put in a a complaint with the nurses. Not too much was done about, nor did they change him to another room. My husband felt very uneasy being in the room with this person. My husband was to get PT three times a day, per doctor orders. He was admitted on September 28th and he got discharged, per doctor orders, on October 3. He only had one short session with the PT and nothing over the weekend. Sandia Ridge is a very old building. I wouldn’t put my worse enemy there! Some of the clients live there permanently, such as the person in My husbands room. The only good thing I can say is the nursing staff are very good. The PT Supervisor, Robbie, was rude. She actually told my husband he didn’t need a walker, when the day before she said he was swaying while walking with the walker! My husband needs to use a walker because he felt unbalanced with out it. Plus his doctor said he needed a walker. To say the least we are not very happy with this facility. If a person has a major surgery as a neck surgery, do not go to this place!

My mother has been at Sandia Ridge Center for about eight months. She had a stroke last year that left her unable to walk and unable to tend to her every day needs . She has been very happy with the service and hospitality here at Sandia Ridge Center. The personal have been very professional. They work long hours and along with all the pressure , they still preform their job with a smile. They also address issues that arise quickly. They provide great care and comfort to all their residents. Sandia Ridge Center is kept very clean. The custodians keep the rooms clean and disinfected as well as the whole facility on a daily basis. The nurses, cna''s and the therapist have many hard tasks to perform in their daily routine. I know very well , because I visit my mother every day. Personally , I''m happy with Sandia Ridge Center.
