I came in to facility in hopes to work as a nurse. I was given report on the patients I would be taking care for. After getting report, the relieving nurse and I were counting narc box on cart. The count was off by 1 full sheet (20 tablets) of gabapentin. (Gabapentin is considered a counted narcotic at this facility). The relieving nurse Christina Lpn was rude, unreceptive, and continued to try to persuade me the oncoming nurse to take cart with 20 tablets of a narcotic medication missing. Nurse stated, “ It’s just gabapentin “, however it’s still a counted narcotic at this facility. DON Nick was made aware and my agency was notified. I felt uncomfortable as an agency nurse. Nurse was very rude to me about her count of narcotics being off. We as nurses have to follow protocol and fix the mistake first hand before trying to hand a shift over to another nurse. We must remain courteous to all staff. Regardless if I’m an agency/ travel nurse, I have a license to protect as well.

We couldn’t be happier with the services my father received during his stay at The Sanctuary! Everyone was respectful and truly had my father’s well being in mind at all times. All questions were answered quickly. The Physical therapist and occupational therapists involved with my dad’s case went over and beyond all expectations. They were constantly evaluating what needed to be done in order to meet my father’s needs. Nurses, social workers, and nurses aides were wonderful and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend the Sanctuary for anyone wanting to find a skilled nursing facility where their loved one will be taken well care of.

Not sure what some are saying here but my mother has been here 3 years. As Mrs Gore stated a bologna sandwich is ubsurd never have I seen! The staff and the nurses have been efficient, polite, and quick! Sorry negative remarks not needed. I will also say this not only my mother has been there but a couple of others. Breakfast, lunch, dinner is all served healthy style I''ve eaten there. For the ones that are negative your the problem, your not there 24/7 maybe there have been issues there but address it instead of complaining on a website. I''ve complained about a housekeeping incident was fixed same day, Their rehab is amazing as well my mother has lost over a 100lb! Recommend highly!

The facility and staff are fantastic. My mother lived there at the end of her life. The place was always clean, the meals are nutricious and delicious. The residents are always happy. They offer lots of fun activities. Mom’s room was so nice. She was able to decorate it and make it home. She had 24/7 care but also was able to have privacy when wanted. When it came time for Hospice care The Sanctuary people were so helpful, kind and loving. I highly recommend The Sanctuary at Wilmington Place.

The Sanctuary is an amazing place that really cares about the well being of their patients. Unfortunately, over the past several years, my mom has spent time in many short term rehab facilities in the local area. The Sanctuary is by far the best overall! The building always looks and smells clean. The staff is extremely friendly and always attentive. The food is outstanding! There is no better therapy team anywhere! The therapy team goes above and beyond to tend to my moms individual needs. The nursing staff go out of their way to ensure patients receive the best personalize care possible. I have been highly impressed with the communication and the support from all the staff. Honestly, from all our previous experiences elsewhere, the Sanctuary at Wilmington Place is the best place to provide true quality care for your loved ones.
