If your aging loved one means ANYthing to you, don’t send them here. Read that again. We first moved my father into memory care and shortly afterward my mother into assisted living. Dealing with executive staff there was a nightmare and we were lied to repeatedly. Finding my Dad on the floor drawing in his own excrement was our first clue something was wrong, and the ELEVEN open APS (adult protective services) investigations at the time we moved my Mom out were confirmation. A former Director, by the name of Scott page told us that the facility would eventually be switching over to a Medicare Medicaid facility. This never happened. Each month as we watched our parents, finances, drain and their income and resources get smaller and smaller, we continue to ask about this, and we were given very vague answers. All of a sudden Scott was on “vacation“ And could not be reached by anyone. There was a new Director and assistant and they were two of the most unhelpful people we have ever met in our lives. We were simply trying to get clarity on if the facility was going to take Medicaid payments, in which case my mother would be able to stay, or if they were not. They never answered our questions. We got a bunch of very vague emails and in the end my mother got it almost $30,000 bill and a threat that they would evict her if the money wasn’t paid at the time, she was 83 years old. She also had an entire card of her Opiate pain medication, stolen twice. And staff who tried to report in neglect and tried to do the right thing, were mysteriously, fired for “unknown reasons.” Both my parents had given the last of their resources to this facility and it all ended up for nothing. It’s too bad too that we only not felt safe posting an honest review of this facility after both of my parents were dead. My advice? If you’re even considering putting your family in this facility, run! Run away as fast as you can as long as you can, and give your money to a facility that truly cares about not only its residents but the families of those residents. Dont be fooled by all of the shiny things on the first level. The old tale is true - the emperor has no clothes!
Read moreThe staff are very nice and responsive to my questions. The food in the dining room is ok but not much variety and seems to be pre prepared so can be cold. We picked this community because of the location and memory care on site. Also the size and openness of the room.
I would tell others that the staff are very attentive and always quick to get back to me if I need anything. They have been very helpful and supportive. They are great to work with and I would highly recommend Royalton Place to others.
We had a good tour experience with Royalton Place. My loved one needed a community that was more active. But that was to be expected since this is for residents who need more care.

We're very happy with Royalton Place. The staff are all very personable and friendly, so my mom feels like they know who she is and she's not just a number. They're very on top of her care. If she has to go to the hospital, they call me immediately. I feel secure in the knowledge that they're taking good care of her. The only thing my mom complains about is sometimes the food is lackluster.
