We moved my mom into the rehab facility yesterday and the entire staff have been extremely welcoming, kind, courteous and professional. Facility is very clean with numerous wings for various health concerns. And multiple dining areas to accommodate the residents. Mom even likes the food.

The first text said it was from Lakeshore Rehab, not River Crossing. Thetefore, I thought it was from Lakewood NH in Plainfield. Sorry for the misunderstanding. River Crossing could use some work. -- When she first was admitted there, I couldn''t visit because I was in the hospital. She wasn''t calling my cell phone & my calls weren''t getting thru. Come to find out she didn''t even have a phone at her bedside. -- Also, her tv remote wasn''t working. She had to watch CNN for 3 days. She told me she asked & asked for a phone & remote. I notified the floor nurse. Within minutes maintenance brought her a brand new remote and phone. -- Once when I came to visit her at lunchtime, I found my mother''s morning pills left at the bedside. I asked why she didn''t take them and she said the water cup was too heavy for her to lift & she was afraid she would spill it on herself. -- My mothers room was the last one at the end if the hall. Her meals were luke warm or cold. No one offered to reheat them. There''s a nice variety of food, it''s just the hot food wasn''t hot. -- Windows & blinds very dusty with cobwebs. -- I visited with her once for 5 and a half hours, and not one person stuck their head in to see if she needed anything. Like I said, it needs some work.

I am revoking the three stars I previously gave this business. And I am warning everyone to please not send their loved ones here. The staff is overworked, and they don''t have enough workers to care properly for the residents. The business manager is the worst. Negligent and rude. Never returns phone calls, talks down to us when we are seeking clarification, does not explain financial matters entirely if at all. Her negligence has cost my father almost $30,000. This place is terrible.

My mother was in this place a little over a year. The director Linda was a very compassionate person. If I need something for my mother she would do it herself. I never smelled odors in this place. I placed my mother in hospice care about 3 months ago. This was the best decision. My mother started transition on Monday. The staff and the hospice team were excellent. The staff., nurse Amy would check on us every two hour. Other staff would also check on us to see if we needed anything. Even in the death of my mother, there compassion made it easy. I salute the staff and the hospice staff
