I lived in this place for 19 months rehabbing my legs. The Therapy staff are amazing and so are the staff nurses. This place relies heavily on agency staff who are for the most part very sketchy. Some of the agency CNAs treated me worse than dirt. The food is God awful. Social Service staff was incompetent. When my social security disability checks finally arrived they were opened before they were brought to me, which I''m pretty sure is a federal crime. In 19 months they changed the name of the facility 3 times, had 6 different administrators, 5 different people in charge of the kitchen ( none of them improved anything) and 6 different Directors of Nursing. My advice would be to stay far away from this place. I could go on and on but I''m pretty sure I''ve made my point.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!! My mother is now back in the hospital after being there for a week for rehab! They have not changed her bandages and had to beg for water and was dehydrated when she got to the hospital. She is worse now then she was when she was sent there to HELP her for crying out loud. When I left her after visiting I also noticed a lady yelling and hanging off the side of her bed and a employee was standing not even 10 feet away and didn’t even move a muscle to go check out the situation. This place is most definitely not where you want to send anyone that you love because they will not be taken care of the way that they should be!!

I started working for this company in March of 2021 as a Marketing Liaison. In October of 2021 my grandmother had a routine back procedure done at Barnes and needed inpatient rehab for a few weeks before she could return home. She was with River Crossing of Edwardsville for 14 days and during that time frame developed a UTI, had an unwitnessed fall with injury(that was not reported and when my family requested an X-ray, the facility lied and stated they completed one and sent it to the medical director. The medical director stated he nor his office has any record of that.) They placed a Covid positive patient in the room with her and didn’t follow proper protocol related to this patient and her isolation needs. I brought all of this to the attention of the Executive Director Karlene and the Social worker Angie Hayes. They ignored my emails. My grandmother was transferred to Anderson Hospital after she left RC of Edwardsville where she was Diagnosed and admitted with Severe malnutrition and was septic due to the untreated UTI. They ARE NOT taking care of people here. There were many times they chose not to test people for Covid because they wanted to be able to admit more patients and put them in rooms together. The corporate reps do not care about patient care and only admissions to the facility. There is a reason Meridian Village and Liberty Village continuously have a waiting list. Send your loved ones there, no matter how long you have to wait. Attached is a picture of my grandmothers bruise on her right back/hip area. Unrelated to her back surgery
Read moreThis place is a hot, ghetto, rude, mess and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The floors are extremely dirty and they treat their patients as if they’re not important.
I have started working back at the facility a couple months now. The leadership and management team have been amazing. The facility is being fully remodeled and painted. And the focus is to make it feel like home for the residents. I am so excited about the future there.
it was great to see the place decorated for Christmas. It was nice being able to see your loved ones, without going through so many bells and whistles. Being able to socialize in the same room. Was. nice and clean, they were constantly sanitizing.
