I am aware that corporate has been notified multiple times about many serious issues, but nothing gets resolved, just swept under the rug. If this review helps prevent more elderly people from being mistreated and their families taken advantage of then my review is complete. I would not recommend this facility, at least not with the administration they have currently.

My mother in law did not want to go but it was necessary. Her room was nice as were the hallways and dining area. She did not like the food. We were told it would be done by a chef by it was simple food. The nurses were kind and did what they could as they were short staffed. We eventually moved her back to her home with full time care. She was home for about a month when she passed.

My parents will be moving into Rock Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care. They have a doctor visit twice a week that comes to the facility and they can make appointments with it versus having to leave the facility to go. The residents were pretty happy, and it was nice, clean, and updated nicely. Overall, it's a good place to be. The staff seems very good, too. They have an activity calendar. They have different levels of care based on what their needs are. Of course, they encourage people to be as independent as possible, and that was one of the things we were looking for, making sure that my parents stayed independent and that they felt like they had their own space or their own home. The staff was very, very helpful and knowledgeable. The assessment that they did seem to be very appropriate.

We moved my father here in [date removed]. It seemed too good to be true. We quickly found out that everything we had been told was too good to be true. While the facility is beautiful and we were more than pleased with his caregivers who were kind, loving and available, we were very disappointed in the director, the activities, the food and the lack of response to concerns. The director was not accessible. After multiple efforts to have someone address our concerns and even meeting with corporate staff, we gave up and moved my dad into another near [date removed] by assisted living in Rockwall. It has been a wonderful change! My father is so much happier and we are so pleased. Our family does not recommend Rock Ridge. It has too many unaddressed problems that administration does not appear to find of concern.

We keeping having to ask to get the same things fixed over and over and they still aren't done. They do a pretty good job of keeping the indoors clean. Most of the staff is nice. The care services all depends on who is working. Our loved one is not a huge fan of the meals. When it comes to the activities they could have more. Value for cost - they are not cheap by any means, but they are not the most expensive in the area. Pretty facility but seems understaffed. Took my mom awhile to get comfortable there, but she is now doing well
Read moreIt was nice when you first walk in. The memory care unit, was separate and there was not a good smell. It felt like an enclosed area.
