My loved one is a resident at Encore at Bolingbrook. Our experience so far at this facility has been fine. They seem to be doing a good job with my loved one, he is not the easiest to care for. We moved my loved one from his previous facility to this one.

The water pipes burst because it was too cold. The fire alarm was no longer working, not sure why, although it was not working for more than a month. Mom's clothing, sheets and even bed was given to others. Staffing was short numbered in relationship to people. We entered and no one even asked who we were or where we were going. Mom wasn't clean, her phone was disconnected, the room was dirty and she was sitting in the dark alone. Don't pay several thousands of dollars for care that is less than a nursing home. I feel bad for the residents still there. They should be closed.

If they don't have an answer they will get one for you.. The food looks good. It's a nice variety, and the portions are fine. The keep the residents, very engaged all day with activites. They have an arts/crafts room, and a large library. It's strictly a memory care facility. It's wonderful. They also have, a physical and occupational therapist, that comes in and there is also two doctors on staff. In additon, they have a beauty/barber sho.

The staff, all the way from the top down, is approachable. Everybody is kind and caring. When I visit, they seek me out and talk to me about what my mother has been up to and how she's feeling, positive and negative. They call me often to discuss her health and care plan. They have excellent communication, not just in their friendliness but also the frequency and quality of their communication. I feel safe and secure having my mother there. They take very good care of her.
