We moved my mother-in-law here from another Regency facility that she had lived out for five years. The previous facility was welcoming inviting warm in a family atmosphere. This facility is cold disconnected and I feel the care and compassion for their residence is piss poor. My mother-in-law although elderly and disabled was happy and vibrant when she moved into this facility. Within three months She had withdrawn become scared and no longer with us

My father was recently sent to Regency North for rehab after having pneumonia. With this being a time a covid he was obviously not Able to Interact with other patients and he was out in an I side too. So that we could not do window visits. While he was there he was supposed to receive physical therapy to build his strength in his legs to that he can return home. There is no way that he had received proper therapy because when he returned home he was just as week. He also had a bed sore on his hind end. He has been in a wheelchair for 16 years And I have never allowed him to get a bed sore. Every time I called he was in bed. When he''s home he is in his chair And out with the family. He was there for three weeks and when he returned home he was a different man. He said one of the nurses was rough with him, he turned her in. He was not talkative as usual. He was weak. Within three days I had to call an ambulance to pick him up and found out he was full of fluid on his lung. He has been in ICU for three days so far. He will not return to Regency again. He will go to Avalon. He had wonderful service there last year. I wish they had had an opening when he needed it.

Me and my friend are both RNs and we went there today to apply for jobs. We received very very poor reception. The DON was just standing there and staring at us. All they did when we asked of they''re hiring, they took the card and handed it coldly to us saying "go and apply online". We''re both black... not sure if this made them uncomfortable. The face she gave us was as if ''what are you doing here'' kind of attitude.

I RECOMMEND this facility. They took excellent care of my loved ones. The staff is alert, engaging and with positive attitudes. The Physical Therapists are on top of it too. The goal was to get better, stronger and recover as soon as possible. The entire staff worked together to accomplish set goals. Our family appreciates all their hard work and helped us get through very tough times. Thanks to all of you at Royal Park, your team is amazing! Best of luck to you.

Regency is a nursing home, not a rehab center. Don''t let their sign fool you. If you want your loved one to be treated like less than human, this is the place for them. No care is given for what is best for their residents. They are merely cogs in a corporate, money-making machine. If you want your family member to get better it will rest on your shoulders as their "care team" doesn''t actually care. It would behoove administrators to remember they work for their residents instead of playing politics with the people who pay their bills.
