Every Day Is Bright at Providence House Assisted Living
At Providence House Assisted Living, every day brings opportunities to learn, grow, make social connections and find new passions. Residents at this premier assisted living community outside Boston spend their days taking wellness classes, learning ballroom dancing, attending themed parties, and enjoying live entertainment from local comedians and musicians. Outside the activities calendar, seniors can relax with the morning paper in front of the fireplace, work out in the fitness center, stroll the well-manicured walking paths or sip a coffee in the gazebo.
As lovely as Providence House Assisted Living is, seniors still love taking excursions to experience the greater community. There’s exciting history at the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum, great walking trails at Chestnut Hill Reservation, and interesting works at the McMullen Museum of Art. Boston and its attractions are less than 30 minutes away, too. Residents might take a cruise through the harbor, pay a visit to Fenway Park or take a day trip to the New England Aquarium. Excellent healthcare options are nearby, too, at places like Brigham Hospital, Harvard Square Clinic, and Lemuel Shattuck Hospital.

I liked Providence House Assisted Living. It was bright, and it was accessible. There was parking there. The staff was very nice. It's very clean. I was surprised by how bright it was. It didn't feel like a nursing home. They had things for the people to participate in. They have transportation if you don't have a car to go shopping three times a week. There are studios and apartments. They have a hair salon. They were playing Wheel of Fortune. They have tons of puzzles, and they have a library. Providence House is my favorite.

My good friend lived in the Assisted Living facility at Providence House for about two years before needing memory care. Providence House was a wonderful, caring community. The nurses, aides, director, and staff were all wonderful and treated my friend with care, dignity and respect. She loved the many daily activities, her room was comfortable and clean with good light pouring in the windows. We were able to add amenities (laundry, extra help, etc.) seamlessly. I also appreciated the care we received as friends. PH staff were compassionate and lovely to deal with. I'm forever grateful to them.
