Hopefully, it will be better under the new management. My first visit was pleasant. There was no odor greeting you at the door, thank God.

I would gave a zero if possible! We took my father in law to Fountain Blue Rehab and Nursing in Macon for respite care- Don’t believe the pictures they have posted- they put us in room 237 at the very end of the hall- you come in it looks nice - they don’t show you the way so they said turn right he’ll be in room 111 and stop at the nursing desk and we did and the nurse said she just took a report for that room wnd went to the desk and told the door greeter and she said okay room 237 go to the end of the hall and stop at that desk- As soon as we turned the corner the smell was horrible and it was dark dingy, foam material coming out of the doors - which cant be sanitary due to the environment - we asked where the dining room was snd they pointed across from the nurses desk and it looked like it was a confinement area with just scattered furniture - we then asked where the activity room was and was told to turn right by the snack machines- another dingy dark area and the room right by the hall was a metal bed with just a white bumpy plastered wall that looked like an isolation room. By the nurses station was an outdoor area which patients were outside and as the door opened it reeked of smoke——there were spills on the floor and it was filthy- my father in law has dementia and we asked about wander bracelets and they said they did not have those and I asked where the glass door by his room went as we were concerned for security purposes and they said it didn’t go anywhere. I asked how they keep up with the patients due to no system and and the place being big and my father in law wouldn’t find his way- and how they would find him and we were told he would find his way back——they didn’t even put a bracelet on him to identify him this place looks like a physic ward and it appears they renovated an area that we were not pervy to- if you have loved ones here- I suggest you check in them! We literally left and did not let him stay- I would hate for someone’s last days to be spent here!!!! I think it is time for a call to be made to have them reported- maybe it will save a life or for better conditions ! The pictures they post on their FB page is NOT THE AREA THEY HAD US- SAVE YOUR LOVED ONE AND WALK THE WHOLE CENTER AND YOU WILL SEE THE TRUE CONDITIONS!

My father was here at this facility less than year. The time he spend here SOME of the staff who was there at the time was really good. Such as the nurses and a very few of the CNAs. However , I was disgusted of learning that my father personal hygiene wasn’t properly met. It was numbers of times, he also had bed sores and was sent to the hospital for infections. When I finally found my dad a better facility, someone in admin put out false information about my dad stating he was deceased. My dad’s benefits were cut off and now my family and I are going through the headaches of numbers of upsetting phone calls from facilities that believing this accusation is true as well as letters being sent to my address. Not to mention, the long process of getting my dad’s benefits back on track which took months to handle. Fountain Blue administration! I am not pleased.
