UPDATE The decision has been made to move our family member to a different facility. Most recent issues noted at this facility and in our family member’s unit. When we took bedding off the bed to break it down for the move we found that the mattress cover and mattress were very soiled with urine and feces. There is absolutely no way a housekeeper changed linens on this bed and did not notice the stains! Please look at the attached photo. It was evident that the stains were from numerous accidents. Our family member had several washable waterproof bed pads available that were not being used. We also furnished an adequate supply of disposable bed pads that were not used. This is completely inexcusable, unsanitary and disgusting! Issues like this are why this facility has a very bad smell. We had to dispose of the mattress and mattress cover and replace them. Unit has a broken window that will not close completely in the bedroom. This was reported and.not repaired. Heat/air unit in living area is dripping water on the floor which is an extreme slip hazard. This was also reported and not repaired. There was a wash cloth shoved under the heat/air unit to catch the dripping water. Dirty clothing was stored with clean clothing. Missing items. Doors in parts of the facility do not meet fire and emergency regulations. The Isakson family should be ashamed of themselves! This facility may be beautiful, but the care provided in assisted living is shameful. A premier facility is what they advertise. However we have found soiled linens on the bed. Housekeeping is virtually non exisitant. Leaks in the bathroom causing an extreme slip hazard. Shameful!
