My tour of Palms Edge Assisted Living and Memory Care was very good. The staff was very professional and caring. They were very good and very detailed. The rooms that I saw were OK. They were not as fancy as some of the other assisted living places we had gone to. They were a little bit smaller, but they were very clean. The interaction that we had with the residents and the staff was very, very good. We were there during lunchtime. They were just starting to feed the residents. They had sandwiches, chips, and other things that looked good. It looked appealing, but we didn't eat there. The atmosphere was calm and safe. They had activities scheduled. We just didn't see any at the time because of the timeframe that we were there. They could probably improve a little bit more on the facility itself. It's an older facility. They have kept up with it as much as they can. Sometimes you can't do much more with an older facility, but it looks like they have been trying.

Palms Edge Assisted Living and Memory Care was awful. It was like a very rundown nursing home. The staff was average at best. The assisted living and memory care were pretty much intermixed, so I visited both. They had very few amenities. They had a salon, outdoor court if you can get out there, they have transportation, and they work with the VA. That's really about it. It was very limited. I didn't see too much going on. The rooms were not very good. It was under construction. They said they were improving the facility, but it was very dingy. I didn't stay there very long. It wasn't a very nice place. It's not a good part of town either. I wouldn't put any of my family members there.
