Terrible all around. Go ANYWHERE ELSE.
So just because someone isn’t a “bio parent” to a child they’ve been raising for years, and calls them mommy, they’re kicked out of a waiting room while the child is prepping for a procedure? Absolutely ridiculous. Way to cause a small child unnecessary anxiety when he’s already worried....

Okay yall, I’m pretty livid. I went to prisma Toumey hospital in Sumter for my appendectomy. I said explicitly I DO NOT want any opioid. I told the nurses, the doctor, and the anesthesiologist. They still prescribed me Hydrocodone. It’s the only thing they prescribed me. I also explicitly said I want my prescription sent to the Walgreens by my house, they sent it to a CVS 10 minutes away. This is absolutely ridiculous and I understand why they call this hospital tombstone. This is why we have people my age dying. They go in for surgery and the pill pushing doctors want them on hydros and addictive substances and this is why we’re losing teens. This is an epidemic. Especially in my case, addiction runs in my family and I wanted to stay far away from opioids and they went against my wishes. I am honestly shocked and appalled at this point. I told at least 6 people yesterday I don’t want opioids.

Normally I have had bad experiences with this hospital in the past. I was recently seen in the ER and Admitted with pneumonia. This time everyone was very helpful and pleasant from the ER to the staff on the 3rd floor.
Dirty, 5+ hours for them to tell me they couldn’t do anything.
