My sister says she felt comfortable the minute she walked in the door and has settled in beautifully. Her room is airy and lovely, the food is plentiful and good, and the staff are caring, positive, and competent.
Everyone is so polite and friendly. Feel right at home.
Pacifica is a lovely place for my mom. She feels very welcomed by all the staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. All of the amenities are well kept and the facility is clean. Care is a bit pricey.

Overall: Good job. Areas of opportunity for consideration: 1. When calling in, often no one answers the phone. 2. When asking a question at the front desk, I would sometimes get conflicting responses from previous person. If you don't know an answer ...it is ok to say I don't know...then go ask for help. 3. Risk, if no one is at the desk in the front, there is a risk of unwanted entry and departure.

Pacifica Senior Living Oxnard was the least desirable facility that I toured. The space was the smallest. The staff was polite and friendly, but it was not homey. It had the most closed-in feeling of all the places I toured. It had a darker feeling. You were sandwiched in between other buildings. When you sit out on the patio area (which looked very nice from the pictures), it was very small and confined. There was no swimming pool. There was no area to walk except on the main street on Gonzales. There was no place to walk around the grounds except in this very confined space. It would be difficult to go for any kind of a decent walk unless you walked on Gonzalez Road on the sidewalk. The place was adequate, but it was not someplace I would want to live. They had an activity room. But the whole feeling was more institutional and confined. You could not do your own laundry. They had a menu published a week in advance, and you had an option for the food.
