The staff is lovely and caring to our needs. The food is delicious and appealing to the eyes. The patio is clean with beautiful flowers. Home sweet home!
Pacifica Senior Living Millcreek was very family oriented. The staff who we met during our tour was very nice and helpful. The place was nice and clean. The rooms were of nice size and well-maintained. They had a courtyard and barbecue. They also had activities.

The cost was reasonable, too. The apartments were a good size and had a very nice layout. It would be very easy for my mother-in-law to get around. The bathrooms were very accessible for her. The common areas were nice. They had a meeting room where they do activities and stuff. They offered religious services on Sunday, which was good. They had a little porch, but I didn't see an outdoor area for them. If it would have been our choice, we would have put her there. They did offer transportation.

While I appreciate that my Mom is in a safe environment, and seems happy and well cared for, it's disheartening that the rate is such that her savings will be gone with nothing to fall back on and no guarantee that there's going to be a Medicaid benefit acceptance at the facility. Assisted living was our only option for her care, otherwise she would be in my home. It's like paying for room and board at a low cost motel while paying a rate you would expect to pay at a 4 star or 5 star resort. The elderly are being taken advantage of by huge corporate concerns, in my opinion.

I toured Pacifica Senior Living Millcreek. They gave me a tour of the rooms, but they were remodeling them. Everything was taken down because they were preparing to prep it. I liked it because it had a hair salon, a business center with a computer, and an outdoor patio with gardens. They had a really good chef there. He came out, and he shook my hand. They had a whole calendar of activities. There was everything from bingo to stretching and exercises. They had Mardi Gras there in February, so they did all kinds of activities for the seniors. They had like 4 to 5 activities a day that they could participate in. The independent living quarters are on the second floor, and the assisted living is on the first floor. The person who gave me the tour was very nice. The rooms were in the back. I got a copy of the layout of the rooms, but they were remodeling. The room that they showed me was a 2-bedroom and was very roomy. It had a kitchenette. The staff who toured me was very personable. They had a very large courtyard, too.
