We toured Pacifica Senior Living Bonita. We had very good experiences talking to the staff and figuring things out at the onset, but the onsite tour was a little bit less exciting and dynamic than we hoped for. It had a little bit more of an old-school nursing home kind of feel with its library and hairdressing station, all sort of put out into one common area. You could see it all, and so it just seemed like easy accessibility. The room we saw was wonderful. It was one of their studio rooms with a mini-kitchen. It had a terrace on the first floor. They would have accepted my mom's dog. These things were the highlight for us. However, it seemed a little bit dated. They had a little movie theater, but it was more like a home theater than a more modern amenity. The hair salon had old-school hair dryers and chairs. It's a little barbershop, and it was cute.

The staff members are great except for [name removed] she receives a 2 out of 5 and the director receives a 3 out of 5. The staff members are great except for [name removed] she receives a 2 out of 5 and the director receives a 3 out of 5. When it comes to the quality of care the staff members step up when they are pushed. The meals and dining service are very good at take care of what you need. We cannot rate the activities due to our loved one not being able to attend. I think they do a lot of great work, this is not an easy business.

Terrible experience. Constant staff turnover, billing increase without notice, not refunding prorated community fee as per contract.

Pacifica Senior Living Bonita was clean. We weren't impressed with it as much as the other place because of its location to our house. The rooms weren't as big as those at the other facility. The staff was knowledgeable. They have a courtyard area, a gym, and a library. The hospital is down the road, maybe about three or four miles.
