My father lived his last few months here and I can''t say enough good things about the full time staff. Weekends were not as well staffed and attentive. Still a great place overall.
A very caring and understanding staff.

Edit: with their reply they are trying to make me look like a disgruntled employee. I’ve never worked for them or know anyone personally that has. A family member had lived there, So my review is honest. This place is an absolute joke and needs to be investigated. The price is absolutely outrageous for how bad the care is, yes it’s nice looking on the outside and hallway’s but that’s all your paying for. They are questionably abusive, hardly clean the rooms with trash all over, bathroom truly disgusting and not cleaned very often along with leaving the residents in their own filth and get upset/ mean with the residents when they have accidents because they don’t want to or feel like they should have to clean it up.Good luck try to talk with or reason with the director, she’s incredibly rude, uncaring, unprofessional, and likes to justify the abuse along with most of the staff. Avoid this place if you can, If not watch your loved ones like a hawk.

My mom has been at Oakwood for 3-1/2 years. She came to visit us from S. FL, had to have a medical procedure while visiting and never went back. While in rehab, my wife and I looked at over a dozen facilities in Knox, Louden & Blount counties. We loved the staff and facility at Oakwood. When my mom arrived they cared for her very well and still do to this day. We think of the staff as extended family. Although many staff members have moved on, the new staff and several staple members are still there. They have gone through hard times with lockdowns, and throughout it all, still made the residents as comfortable as possible. I would and do recommend Oakwood to all my friends. My mom always keeps me apprised if her well-being and is very happy at Oakwood. I have family members who works for Hospice Care as a social worker in S. FL. and has visited Oakwood many times. She is always impressed with the facility, staff, and care that our mom and all the residents receive. Thank you so much for everything you do for the residents.

My brother has moved into Oakwood Senior Living, and they have been very, very nice. I have no problems. He hasn't been there that long, but everybody's really helpful and it's very clean. I haven't eaten any, but he did eat half of a sandwich last night, and that's more than he'd been eating. I was pleased with the facility. His room is very comfortable and plenty large enough. They listed many activities. It was one of the cheapest ones that we had seen and found, and I was pleased with the way it looked and everything. I'm sure there are some that are a little bit more elaborate, but cleanness and helpfulness is my main thing.
