We went to Oakmont of Mariner Point. The tour was really good. It's a beautiful facility. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. They're nice people. The floor plans were very nice. I saw probably three different floor plans and they all looked nice. They were bright. They had windows and nice views and things like that. I saw a studio and a one-bedroom. They had excursions for the seniors. They had a gym, a beauty salon, a massage room, a really pretty piano in the lounge, and a fireplace. They said they have live music often. They had a coffee bar area and a courtyard where you could sit with tables, chairs, and umbrellas. They had some pretty garden areas. The landscaping was good. The food looked very good. It was super clean. The dining room had a view of the water, so it was nice. It was cleaner and better organized than the other places. It looked like a lot newer facility, and that's probably why it looked cleaner, too. It was pristine and you didn't see everybody stuffed in the hallway. They had a really beautiful movie room. Their decorations were very modern and very sleek.

Beautiful facility, and it stops there. !!! Their tier system is a total rip off. The quality of care was very poor, the food was average, if that. The activities, if you can call them that were joke ! My family and I complained constantly about the poor quality of care my wife was given. My wife was there for about 8 months and after our numerous complaints the director [name removed] told me that she would not talk to any member of my family, only me ! My wife broke her hip there and [name removed] literally gave us no information on how it occurred. It appears they were trying to cover up the circumstances of the incident. After my wife broke he hip I took her out of Oakmont and placed her at Mercy Care in Oakland. The care there was excellent. I was part of a class action suit. It was not about the care it was about things we were lied to about when we placed my wife there in 2018. Oakmont lost the suit. Terrible place !!!!!

Oakmont of Mariner Point is nice. It's really way back in the distance, so you get kind of confused on where it is, but the facility looked nice. The rooms were a nice size. They have nice sceneries because you're out there by the water. The rooms were really nice and clean. My mom is going blind, so she needs the rooms to be bright, so the rooms were bright and that was a good thing. That was a plus. It wasn't dark in the room when you went in without the lights on. I've only dealt with one staff member, and she was really nice. The facility is really beautiful. The memory care and assisted living are two different areas, so what they have in the assisted living is not the same that they have in the memory. There's not a giant dining room and all that stuff. Everything is a whole lot smaller in scale. There are two different areas, which are totally different from each other. In the memory care, they have codes on the doors, so you can't get in without a code, and can't get out without a code.
