What assistive devices do I need to provide? 6. What are visiting hours for family. 7. Covid/infection restrictions? Overall, I was pleased with the care my Dad got. The staff was willing to work with me and with hospice to care for him. His physical needs were met. But even though he had physical limitations his mind was sharp and it would have been nice if there had been activities like cards or bingo for the patients in assisted care...it really wasn't appropriate for them to go to the activities for those residents in the independent living Thank you

I feel the community works to resolve the concerns that the family has over time. New Perspective is doing well with being short staffed, like a lot of companies have nowadays. The food is average here and I believe this could be improved. There are three meals served a day and the residents have choices to choose from. The hot water in the bathroom wasn't working when my loved one moved in and it took quite a while to get this resolved. My loved one has made friends quickly, and the building is gorgeous! The apartment is fabulous for my loved one as well.

When we toured the facility looking for an Assisted Living place to move my mother, sales staff were wonderful showing us all the spaces, going over the amenities, etc. We made the choice to move Mom here based on that. She moved in [date removed]. We had issues with meals and consistency of care, then 4 months into the stay, bed bugs were found and explained that a resident upstairs had them and Mom must have sat in a chair and brought them to her apartment. Room was treated. In May, again, found bugs, treated the room again! In July, found them again and Mom was kept in her room until it could be treated 4 days later--staff weren't notified to bring her food. Found out her new, $1,600 lift/recliner was infested. Told once it was treated we could keep it if we desired. Well, that was wrong! Bugs returned. Administrator didn't seem to care. Her apartment was not cleaned since June. We moved out two weeks ago and are very happy with Mom's new place and the care!
