We just moved our mom to Mustang Creek. They are so understaffed maybe 1 person in a house at a time or 1 person in 2 houses. They work double shifts and do not get paid enough. People are always late or never show up at all. They are supposed to do laundry once a week and you have to stay on top of them to make sure it's done. Bathrooms are supposed to be cleaned daily my mom's toilet had feces on it for 3 days until I cleaned it myself. They make it sound like the best place ever SALE SALE SALE you! They don't even ask you about insurance. They use Trinity Pharmacy well our mothers first Pharmacy bill was 10,000 because it was out of network. This is all new to us this is something they should go over with you. They should tell you make sure your insurance is in network with our Pharmacy. The director just tells you what you want to hear or she just walks off while your talking to her. She manages 2 sites. She doesn't know if she is coming or going. Yard needs grass.

The facilities are nice, but there is a complete lack of effective management. Each building is generally staffed by one person, and sometimes two. They must do all of the laundry, resident care, and the daily cleaning. My mother was there for several months and after daily calls from the staff asking me to come help them, I moved her to [facility name removed] Memory Care. My mother was there from about [date removed] to [date removed] and they NEVER changed her bedding. They say they wash clothes every week, but they don't. When they do get around to getting clothes laundered, they lose a large number of items. Less than 10% of the activities they say the Memory Care residents are enjoying are actually done. The excuse is they can't take the memory care residents over to the other units. So they don't "really" provide the activities they promise. There is a nice backyard area that I was promised would be cleaned up and that the residents would be taken outside to enjoy it. That NEVER happened. Bad.

The facilities are nice, but there is a complete lack of effective management. Each building is generally staffed by one person, sometimes two. They must do all cooking, laundry, resident care, daily cleaning. Doors not secure. One night I couldn't find any staff onsite, and had residents were try to leave. I had to call the ED who sent someone over after about 20 minutes. My security camera caught a male resident standing naked next to my mothers bed. Staff never knew he was wondering from room to room until I called to alert them. The staff sleep on the couch during the late night hours. I toured Mustang Creek Estates Allen and it was really good. I like the house environments better than 'facilities,' so this one was really good. Just farther than my loved one's old location.
