Updating this review due to the distinct manager contacting me and doing the right thing to remedy a bad situation with a certain director of this facility. Previous directors had always cared about my mom and were genuinely nice people. My mom lived here for 7 years. There were good times and bad times but the good outweighed the bad by far. The caretakers and med techs were incredibly kind to my mother and I’ll always be thankful for that. I wish they would pay them more to retain them long term.

The response from the person below is laughable and a complete lie. No one reached out to me. They absolutely endorse what is going on at Mirabella and won''t do anything about the new director taking financial advantage of elderly people. I also find it hilarious that they are responding to positive reviews made 2 years ago when the last director was there. He actually CARED about the residents. He didn''t use them as an ATM machine. Instead of letting you know that your loved one is struggling and showing signs of a serious medical condition they prefer to let them languish. The director, the district manager ( who comments on here that they are ‘residents first’), and Human Resources will completely ignore you despite multiple calls/emails. They just say they’re too busy. There’s a new nurse every time I try to get ahold of one. Yep, they won’t call you back either. They don’t care one bit. Don’t move your loved one here. They just don’t care about anything but money.

When your elderly mother is showing troubling sudden behavioral changes that are a classic sign of Alzheimer’s they will not inform you. Instead of showing compassion and caring they will bill you for maintenance charges and not tell you until it shows up on your invoice. I understand that they are running a business and some charges are warranted but you can’t intervene and get your loved one the help they need if you don’t know what’s going on. Rules are made up on the spot to generate more money. When you try and reach management and explain what’s going on and that there is a medical diagnosis from a neurologist you are completely ignored. Unreturned phone calls are the norm. You are told by the front desk that not just anybody can talk to the director and you have to make an appointment. You make an appointment and then they will cancel it. I guess draining the financial assets of an Alzheimer’s patient is more important. The actual caregivers that interact with the residents are amazing and loving.

They are running everyone out of here to turn it into a veterans home. STAY AWAY from this place. The new director Nina is a cold fish that only cares about money. She is very petty. She barely glances at the residents. There are only a few people in the dining room now since they’ve run most of the people out and the food has gotten terrible. There used to be some nice people working there but not anymore.
