I am giving only one star because zero stars is not an option. This place was once a superb facility with whom to entrust the care of your loved one. I have nevery experienced worse treatment for my recovering elderly mother and am left scratching my head as to what the Hell happened! I tried discussing Mom''s complaints with the "Director" who apparently has no control over the staff or simply gave me lip service to get me out of his office. Nurses allowed repeated calls for help to go unanswered until my mother who is a fall risk soiled herself where she was susequently made to sit in her mess for almost an hour. After my discussion with the "Director" the nurses began yelling at her when she would call for help. They would not allow her access to a phone after a week of excuses and refused to allow her to speak with me when I called. then when I went up there in person a nurse told me I couldn''t come into the building (which of course I did anyway) only to be told by the person who identified herself as the charge nurse said she tried to call once but I didn''t answer... I place my phone in the glovebox while driving so I suppose they feel I should not be allowed to talk to my mother for that... There is so much more but bottom line if you hate your mother-in-law this place is perfect! If you love your family member they will be verbally abused and made to feel like a prisoner. Don''t be surprised to see this place in an undercover news story... Seriously, there are several places with caring staff but this is not one of them!

My mother was there on 2 separate occasions. After experiencing poor service and care, we brought her home even though home care is difficult at best. The final event was finding her totally soaked and wearing the same clothes for days in a row. Then there was the turkey sandwich (I think it was turkey). Imagine 2 slices of dry bread with one paper thin slice of mystery meat. No condiments. Nothing!!! I had to ask for Mayo or mustard, anything but prison sandwich. I went to the director twice and will post my handwritten list of issues - many more, just the ones most worrisome at the time. I had hoped the place was 1/2 as good as it looks but it was awful. Calling at night was a waste of time. I called because while my mother was being visited by family I was informed that her room was stifling hot. Sweet was pouring off my mother. I was told, “I’ll check” and hung up on. No one checked. I was out of town and helpless. Home care is almost impossible but we had to make it work.
