I visited Meadow Mills Assisted Living Memory Care. The whole building is memory care. They had 60 rooms and they divided it into groups of 15. Each group, they were together, congregated, and would have their own dining room. So, you would get to know just a small group of people instead of being lost in the herd. It's almost like a classroom, it's better if you have a small group of children. Then they had common areas for the activities, different rooms for different activities. They had an outdoor area that was completely fenced in with walkways and picnic tables and stuff that people could go outside and not worry about getting lost or wandering off or something. The memory care price was $7200 a month for the lowest level of care. So, that was $1,000 less than what it would have been at the other place. The rooms are furnished, you didn't have to buy your own furniture, so it's a big difference. If you went into assisted living, they don't make you get up and do things. But here, they said "We only have a single room with the bathroom, because we want them out of the rooms. We want to get them up and out and doing things." The only negative for me is that it's about a half an hour away from me. But that's not anything to do with the place, that was a consideration for me. But I think that would still be the best place for my husband. The person who gave me the tour was very helpful and very nice. I liked her a lot, I just felt like we clicked with each other. I liked it because it was all on one floor. They only have 60 people and it's not a huge complex. They had a name for each section, like one section was called the Cottage, which sounded very homey and very nice. They kind of do things together, so you get to know your group. It was clean, and it wasn't rundown. It looked very nice and homey. I like the looks of it and the outdoor area that you could go outside around.

My tour of Meadow Mills Assisted Living Memory Care went very well. It was extremely pleasant, and I really like the facility. The ambiance was very homey, and the rooms were a little small, but it was nice. I think it was a pretty good place, but my father never stayed there. Their staff was fantastic. She was great, her name's Maureen, I believe. She just gave me a lot of time, was very caring, and just a nice person. I never even felt like she was trying to sell me something, she was just very relaxing. They had nice common areas, and nice outdoor grounds. She showed me some physical therapy room, and where they eat. There's the kitchen, physical therapy, and then the nurse's station. It was kind of kind of typical, but I would recommend that place even though my father had never stayed there, but I liked it. The dining area was rather cozy and inviting. You couldn't find anything wrong. The facility is pretty clean. It was a little dark in there, but what I saw looked pretty clean.

This is the place thing that ever happened. I do not have to worry about my loved one anymore. They are taking great care of him. This is the third place my loved one has been. We are very very pleased with them.
Meadow Mills seems to be a reasonable place, but it wasn't able to give the care my partner needed for advanced Parkinson's. The second problem was they didn't recognize this. I have moved him to a skilled nursing facility/ The staffing was not adequate. They lost or ruined 5/63 items that I brought...

Read moreThe nursing staff seemed very caring and so was the activity director. communication was very good between our staff and our family, they kept us well informed and up to date, and returned calls back quickly. I would recommend this community to others.
