I've moved into Mallard Cove Senior Living. I get three good meals a day, which I didn't do before, because I'm allowed to cook. The people are very friendly, very nice, and very social. It's quiet. I'm enjoying it a lot. I have two rooms and it's plenty enough room for me. I have my dog, which makes it double good. They have a theater room and an exercise room. It's a little older building, so they don't have some of the modern conveniences, but as far as I'm concerned it's very nice and neat. They keep it clean. I like it. The maintenance is a little bit slow. The value for the money is OK. For what you get, for what you pay, it's worth it.

My husband moved into Mallard Cove Senior Living. It's three miles from my house, which I love. I like everything. The place is nice-looking and well taken care of. The people there are well cared for. They're content and happy. The people who take care of them are very well-trained. They legitimately care for these people, and that's what I like. They offer three meals a day and at least one snack. My husband's first three meals were great. The building is very clean. They do room care and vacuuming every day. They do laundry a couple of times a week. It's all very well handled. They have stuff going on all the time, like dancing, games, and movies. I like that because they aren't shut in their room. They have a garden where they can sit. I'm very content, and my husband's very content. He settled in very well.

Mallard Cove Senior Living was very nice. The facility was very clean. They had lots of options for food and the quantity was very good. Everybody who goes there is given an assessment whether they are independent or assisted living. The residents vote and have a say in regular meetings on the services available. It is privately owned. It's totally private pay. They require everybody to have a COVID vaccination. They had an exercise room, an activity area, and an activity person. They had apartments of various sizes. It didn't have much closet space, but you could rent storage space there. They had a few covered garage spaces for independent living, but otherwise you were parking your car outside.

I like the layout of Mallard Cove Senior Living. I also like the proximity to where we live right now. We find it appealing. We got there a little before noon. We were not scheduled to dine, so we just went on a tour. We saw some of the apartments that had just been refurbished, and they looked very nice and adequate. I'm not sure about the washer and dryer, but the other appliances were there. The meals are included. The kitchens looked small, but very adequate. They have a little walking path around the lake, if you like the lake. The fact that they had nursing facility close by is very nice. The person who took me around seemed to know her stuff. She was knowledgeable. Everything looked up to snuff to me.

My aunt almost lived at Mallard Cove Senior Living. It was a nice facility. It provided three meals a day whereas some of the other ones only did one or two. She looked at available apartments there whereas some of the other facilities only showed us, models. She looked at three apartments there. The apartment she looked at actually had laundry in the room, which was a perk. The one thing that I liked about this facility compared to the other facilities was that, should her level of care increase and should she need assisted living, she would not have had to move apartments, she would just have to change rooms. The only thing that held them back, is they only had a balcony, and she wanted a patio. She had put money down to move in there and then changed her mind and moved into another facility instead mainly because of the patio. They provided three meals a day and they had a lot of different things that they did there in terms of happy hour and bingo. The staff was friendly. When we walked in, everybody was nice. It's a nice facility.

My father has moved into Mallard Cove Senior Living. I like the price that it offered. Even if there were changes with the residents (if you're in assisted living and if you started to decline), the price would be the same. It didn't have that assisted living/nursing home feel and smell. It had the little pond with the ducks. It's kind of nice for the residents to be able to sit there (even if they're in their apartment) to look out at the little lake. The staff seemed to be pretty friendly. There was a discrepancy that I encountered with a nurse and I haven't addressed that, but I know that sometimes there's going to be differences. So far, the food is OK. My father hasn't complained about it. There are activities, but he hasn't taken advantage of some of them because of his oxygen situation. The game room is nice. They have movies and a happy hour. It's close to hotels, but not too close to a hospital.
