Lasell House is the best: the best nurses, the best physical therapists, the best aides. It is small enough that you get to know most of the staff, and they know you. Sometimes it''s even fun. I would recommend it to anyone seeking skilled nursing/orthopedic rehab in the Boston area.
Helen Pham took fabulous care of my grandfather. She went above and beyond in her duties going the extra mile for him. Our family thanks Helen for her extraordinary care during a difficult time for us. She was truly a shining star.

I was at this fine establishment twice for Knee Replacement Rehab.First on November 26th 2022 for two weeks for my left knee.My second Rehab time for my Right Knee replacement on November 21st 2023. Both Rehabs were exactly a year apart. The reason or Reasons I picked Lasell House a Second time were many. First of all it is a 5 star rating facility. It is also close to where I live. The many other reasons are as follows, The Nurses, OT& PT people the Nurses Assistants and the Administrates were in my Mind The best of the Best. Ah yes can’t leave out the Kitchen Crew. There meals were always the best. Before my Surgery of which was done at Newton-Wellesley Hospital (where my first surgery was also done) I called The director of Admissions and mentioned to her my second surgery was upcoming and was told not to worry that they had my back and they did. Calling there was like calling my Grandmother saying hello to an old friend. This is how they treat you like one of the family. The OT & PT personal are by far the best I have ever had in this type of Rehab facility. I have had over 8 major surgeries and have been in many rehabs and this Heaven on Earth is by far the Top of the line. Not taking anything away from the other facilities which were also very zoned in on there care and dedication to the patient. These fine Ladies and Gentleman were very understanding and were very empathetic to your well being and did not push you beyond your limits. I would recommend Lasell House to anyone that may need any type of rehab either from any type of surgery or as an Doctor recommended location for a brief time to gain more strength. I give these Angels on this earth (as they do on Americas Got Talent) A Golden BUZZER. Please do not go anywhere else they will go above and beyond to help you get through whatever you may need in order to succeed. They did ask me before I left will we see you again. I said to them I have run out of knees but they said how about a hip you have two. HA HA I said not if I could help it, I did say that I would visit though. Alan Dean

At a time when our healthcare services and industry are in a precarious state, it''s niraculous to find a flawless, professional rehabilitation facility. Following knee replacement, I was fortunate to be treated here extensively. The nursing staff is detail oriented, compassionate and works connectedly from shift to shift. I''ve never seen anything like it. The physical and occupational therapists also work fluidly. They''re creative in their individualized approach to each patient''s therapeutic needs. Together the nursing and therapy staff have built community, a community that truly fulfills why many people join healthcare professions. They are committed to quality care that is both healing and inspiring. They enjoy their work, each other, and their work environment creating an atmosphere conducive to healing. The setting at Lasell Village on the lovely college campus in Newton enhances one''s stay here. It''s beautiful inside and out. I wholeheartedly recommend Lasell House at Lasell Village.

I didn''t know that I would be sent to rehab after my knee replacement but thank God someone had the good sense to send me there. The entire staff at LaSalle House were so professional and made me feel so important and that there was nothing I couldn''t accomplish during my therapy. They gave me the tools and encouragement that I needed. I recommend this facility for all levels of medical care.

My 79-year-old mom was discharged from Lasell House today, after one moth of exemplary care following a fall which led to a fractured pelvis. Andrea, head of nursing, was so intuitive when it came to my mom''s care. She was warm and accessible, and always made me feel she had time for us. Heather, the social worker, was so kind and collaborative. My mother has mental health challenges which were triggered by the fall. Heather worked with me at every step of the way, strategizing and helping me plan for my mother''s move to an assisted living with a mental heath care program. Kai, who manages activities, was amazing. She took the time to give my mom a manicure, and the photo I received of mom''s pretty hands made my day. Kai is just a ray of sunshine, someone who clearly puts her all into her job, and comes to it with passion and kindness. I know she will go far within this organization. Also, Scott, a NP. This man has the patience of a saint. My mom had a big emotional breakthrough with Scott, which I witnessed. This wouldn''t have happened if Scott hadn''t taken the time to sit with my mom in a completely calm and unhurried way. Tammie was my mom''s first nurse when she came into Lasell and last nurse when she left. Tammie was excellent all the way through, but especially fantastic this past weekend, when my mom was really struggling emotionally. She''s a gem. Special words of praise, too, for Elizabeth, a nurse on the floor, and an aide named Marie. Marie was so bright and cheerful, so calm and kind--just the right vibe for my mom. She brightened the room every time she walked into it. Elizabeth was also excellent and was especially comforting this past weekend. Lastly, Ryan, the PT. What a wonderful human. He got my mom up and walking with such kindness and care. I owe him a huge debt of gratitude for being so patient and encouraging, and for making a big impact on my mom''s physical recovery. One of my mom''s favorite quotes is this: “At the end of the day people won''t remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel.” ― Maya Angelou The Lasell team made me feel that my mom was in the very best hands this past month. I''m ever grateful.
