I can’t imagine what would happen if we didn’t continue to check on my Nephew. We have to ask to have his mattress sanitized if not they have been putting clean sheets on the bed and he’s been sleeping in it... DISGUSTING! it Reeks of urine. Piles of wet bedding that is piled up in the restroom. This is negeglitionon on their part. How simple is it to order trash cans for all the residents, we have had to ask all the time for his trash can because it disappears. It’s sad that people don’t take pride in workplace. It appears that if they are not asked to do their job they won’t. Where are the expectations from the Leadership and why do they continue to lower the bar? Where’s the pride? IF YOU HAVE FAMILY THERE PLEASE CHECK ON THEM.
Read moreSome of their staff is awful, rude, and downright mean. In my opinion, housekeeping is useless. The facility is beautiful but the staff is only there to receive a paycheck. Upper management doesn''t have a clue to what is going on beyond the doors where patients are. 🤔🤨😏😒
It''s okay facility you''ll have trouble people answering the phone for you after you leave your family member there

Regarding the assisted living area. Two important things for everyone is food and recreation. Las Brisas is lacking in both. I feel that it is important to have a consistent schedule. Many elderly have memory problems so for them consistency is important. They need a schedule for all activities and they need the activities to be at a consistent time. My dad complains that meal time is very unreliable. They do not consistently get a calendar with scheduled events and the activities are not on a consistent schedule. My dad also complains about the food. He complains that he does not get enough to eat, the food is not very good and that he does not get any choices about what to eat.

I made a huge mistake by trusting this place with the care of my father. My father was there due to a hip fracture and he was to get physical therapy and assistance since he was immobile. My father didn’t get bathed, his call button didn’t work, and he wouldn’t get assistance when asked to go to the restroom. He was completely ignored. He was evaluated by the physical therapist and was told he would start therapy in a couple of days. Over the course of one week, he never received therapy. I was never contacted regarding a care plan. He was there a week and during that time frame they only took him once to Dyalisis out of the three times he was supposed to go. They kept saying they had transportation issues. Due to their neglect my father was lethargic, and disoriented. When I informed the head nurse I asked for her to call the ambulance and she refused. She called the “transportation company”. I waited 1.5 hours and the transportation company never came. I had to call the ambulance myself to have my father taken to the hospital so he could get Dyalisis. The staff there is rude and don’t care about the patients there. We had to keep calling the administrators and we saw no action. It’s been one of the most frustrating situations we have dealt with. It shouldn’t be this hard to have your loved one cared for. This place doesn’t even deserve one star.

They are very caring in the community. Since they opened right before the pandemic, they are not as organized as they need to be. In the assisted living area of the community, they are not full yet. They don't have the activities for the residents that they should have due to limited staff. The communication is initiated by the family. You can tell the staff are friendly, caring, loving, and want to help and I greatly appreciate this. The meals are small, but it is enough for the residents. The meals aren't served consistently at the same time each day.
