My mom currently resides at Lark Springs. For the money, it seems to be still quite expensive for what they provide, in my opinion. All categories could use improvement. There's been a couple of times where I visited my mom and her room was not cleaned. The food appears to be sub par, but edible. There seems to be no activities that I've seen thus far. Friendliness for the most part, the staff has been okay but there have been times where the staff appear to be grumpy or upset, and I've also noticed a high turnover rate of employees. I am still in the dark about the level of care that they provide. To be fair, it does appear that my mom is comfortable and enjoys being at the facility, so that's a plus and that's why she's still there.

We toured Lark Springs. The rooms are very tiny, to get the residents out, and active in the community, which is a lock-down memory care-only facility. The staff was terrific. I looked in the eyes of the people who were working there, and they all seemed sweet. It's in the renovation stage, but they're on the right path. They're getting rid of the carpet that can hold odors and they're putting down plank vinyl. And that's the community area where the residents walk in the circle pattern of the property. I think they got a lot of good stuff there. They're our number two.

Now that they have hired a new house keeper the cleanliness of the community has really improved. When we do come to see our loved one we have seen a few meals and they look appetizing with nice portion sizes and a variety of choices to pick from. Every time we come to visit there are always activities going on, they have a full time activity director that provided so many different things for the residents. We do like how the residents have the freedom to walk around the grounds. Compared to other communities in the area we do think this value is worth it. We would recommend this community to other families to come and check out to see if it will be a good fit for your loved one

The staff is kind to her, they have plenty of activities for her, she has her own locked room (private rooms hard to find), food is fine (not frozen meals), she seems happy overall. The front counter staff could be friendlier but the aids that care for her are good to her.

My husband was a resident at Lark Springs for only 5 weeks before he passed from Alzheimer's. He received much better care there, attention, and kindness than he had during his previous 15 months at another residence purportedly for Memory Care. The staff at Lark Springs are well trained, know what they are doing, treat the residents with respect, and care about them. I would recommend this facility for anyone whose loved one is suffering from Alzheimer's and/or advanced stages of dementia.

DO NOT place your loved one here. Only saving grace of this place is the actual hands-on caregivers who do seem to care about their patients. The front office staff and head of nursing do NOT. This staff is uncaring and rude. They do not listen to reasonable requests for non-emergent situations. They do not even input emergency telephone numbers into their system correctly. We went 6 months without receiving a call and thought all was well. When we would call, it was always a glowing report. Turns out they don’t know about your loved ones and will tell you one thing when in reality it’s not even close to the truth; this was from the head of nursing in a medical situation which was proven false from her primary care physician. Loved one’s rooms are always filthy despite “daily housekeeping” with dirt, crumbs, and other trash always present. I expect some accumulation; as the primary caregiver for my mom with Alzheimer’s at home, but this is not that. It is gross and dirty. Rooms should be single occupancy, but they still shove two people into a single room.
