Menomonee Place Keeps Every Day Fresh
What makes Menomonee Place so special? It offers a rare combination of resort-style amenities, personalized services and a vibrant activities program that keeps every day fresh. Older adults spend their days doing exercise sessions, playing card games, taking baking classes and gathering for fun happy hour socials. There’s a putting green for working on their short games, a beauty salon for getting pampered and an elegant main dining room for gourmet, restaurant-style meals.
This community also boasts scheduled transportation for shopping trips, lunch outings and scenic drives in the country. The Menomonee Falls area offers a whole lot to see and do — there’s Old Falls Village Park, the Mequon Nature Preserve, the Sussex Lisbon Area Historial Society and the Fairways of Woodside Golf Course. In addition, Milwaukee is just a half-hour away for world-class shopping, restaurants and attractions.
Menomonee Place Is a Place to Feel at Home
The apartments at Menomonee Place range from roomy studios to 1,000-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath residences with updated kitchens, walk-in closets, solid oak cabinets and quality design touches throughout. They’re entirely chore-free; housekeepers clean up and do laundry, maintenance people tackle repairs and chefs prepare meals. The builders thought about safety in the apartments, too — each one features illuminated entryways, supportive grab bars, step-in showers and emergency call systems.
On the other end of those call systems are dedicated staff members. They are on-site 24 hours a day to answer the call for emergencies, be there for companionship, provide medication reminders and assist with daily personal care tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing, continence, mobility and more). There’s also a full-time registered nurse on staff (who’s also available 24 hours a day) to provide care coordination and clinical oversight.

I totally agree with the review by The Unknown. Things we were told when we toured this place and what is actually happening are complete opposites. The food and lack of activities are my mom’s number one complaints. She also has been told there is no food and is given a half a sandwich for dinner. She has been spending extra money on groceries because the food has been so bad. BLT sandwich with no lettuce or tomato only 4 slices of bacon served on dry bread. Some mystery meat covered in cheese served on the top portion of a bun. Activity director Becky left in late December, she was wonderful always doing something with the residents, now luckily they have Bingo twice a week or there would be no activities. You as management owe the people who live there and their families an explanation of why things are so bad and convince us why we shouldn’t be looking for a new place for our loved ones.

The new activity director is wonderful, she has made the residents excited to join the fun. The food however is awful. A few nights my grandma was told there was no dinner or what they are served isn’t what they were told they would have. The staff are doing the best they can but have no support. They are served on styrofoam plates with plastic silverware. Updating with new photos to show that the new menus are not any better. We aren’t sure what the one meal was supposed to be but the second was supposed to be a BLT. It only had Bacon. my grandma takes her food upstairs because they rush them thru the meal.
Read moreWe toured LakeHouse Menomonee when searching for an Independent Living facility for our loved one. This facility was a wonderful place! The staff was great. If my loved one needed extra care, this facility would have been our choice. It's very nicely decorated and very welcoming!

They had 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, and they had handicap-accessible bathrooms, which was what we were looking for. They had an exercise room, a nice courtyard, and outdoor walking areas. Everything was included in the price except for the telephone. They had a nice dining area with their own personal chef.

LakeHouse Menomonee was a beautiful place and it was well-kept. One lady and one man gave me the tour and both of them were nice. They were very thorough, very convincing, and very informative. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The dining area was accommodating and nice. The surroundings looked pleasant. They said they had an activity director, and I saw some residents playing cards and some talking to each other.

My mom will be moving into LakeHouse Menomonee. We were very pleased with the administration. We liked the room size and the cleanliness of the building. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were spacious. They have daily activities, and occasionally they will take them off site, like to a baseball game or a movie. The living atmosphere was very nice. We met a few residents, and each one of them said hi or carried on a short little conversation with us as we did our tour. I can see where there could be some exterior things that could be upgraded a little bit, but nothing horrible.
