Experience the Extraordinary at Lake Wylie
Lake Wylie, an assisted living and memory care community in Andover, MA, features a lifestyle customized for each resident’s needs, goals and preferences. Loved ones open their doors to a world of possibilities each day. Start with a coffee and a newspaper in the courtyard, or do daily devotions with Becky. Get some furry-friend time in pet therapy, learn to paint in art class or tend to vegetables in the garden. In the evening, play games, watch movies and meet new friends at a wine and cheese social.
Feel like having some fun outside the community? Lake Wylie’s scheduled transportation has it covered. It takes older adults out for lunches, shopping trips to Berewick Town Center and excursions to places like Nanny’s Mountain Historical Site, McDowell Nature Preserve and Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. Charlotte is just about 30 minutes away, which means amazing day trips and visits from family.
Lake Wylie: Stellar Assisted Living and Memory Care in the Upstate
Lake Wylie’s assisted living program lets older adults keep their independence by offering support services tailored to their needs. For instance, one resident might want some help with medication reminders and getting dressed, while another may design a care plan that includes assistance with bathing, grooming and getting around the facility.
In the award-winning embrace Memory Care program, individuals with dementia benefit from thoughtfully designed spaces, small group outings and cognition-focused activities that focus on mind, body and spirit. In embrace, friends and family are also intimately involved in care.
All residents enjoy a chore-free lifestyle, with housekeepers, maintenance workers and chefs taking care of cooking, cleaning and repairs. Older people and their families can choose from studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedroom companion suites with individually controlled air conditioning, step-in showers and lovely decor.

I saw Lake Wylie Senior Living and at the time, they told me the shortest respite care they offer is 30 days and I was looking for something shorter than that. It was a very nice facility and people seemed to be very active as I went through both areas of assisted and memory and people seemed to be engaged. However, when I visited a room that they had opened, it was unoccupied at the time, I thought it was very dismal. I know that people don't stay there in that room during the day, but it was very small. It probably would only accommodate a single bed and maybe one piece of furniture and a chair. I was not impressed with the size. It was less than 10 x 10. The staff during the tour was very nice. She was new, so she had to get back to me with a couple of questions that I had posed although she was very accommodating and the intake person was very, very nice. I only was in contact with two people. When they got back to me and told me that it would be a 30-day minimum, I didn't pursue it any further.

So far we have had a good experience with assisted living at Lake Wylie. My loved one seems happy and seems to have adjusted well. She says the food is good there.

Lake Wylie Senior Living was phenomenal. I would highly recommend it to anybody that cares about their loved one and wants to put them in a place that provides the best care. The marketing manager Drew and his sales staff were top-notch. They gave me a very thorough tour of this facility, explained all the features and benefits of their care and services, and I was so happy. I feel like this is the best move I could make for my loved one. I couldn't ask for a better option. It was beyond what I could have imagined, I was highly impressed. I liked all the activities that they offer, and the cleanliness of this place. They seem to be fully staffed. Everyone, all their residents that were there seemed very happy and content. I could see that walking through the facility. I could tell that the staff were very happy to be there, they love that company. You could see that they loved what they do. They have a passion for what they're doing. This particular facility has a lot of additional services specifically geared toward memory care that you will not get in other places.
Read moreThe tour at Lake Wylie was excellent. They couldn't accept my loved one because of their care level. If they could have we would have chosen them for the community.
The room I saw at Lake Wylie Senior Living was fine. However, mom wants a kitchenette because she still wants to be able to cook for herself, and the only thing they had that they considered a kitchenette was just a microwave, a mini fridge, and a sink, which was not what my mom would be looking for...
