Please what ever you do please do not send any family member to this place. The food is not edible. The workers steal your purses and wallets. The staff is no where to be found. If a doctor comes to visit he is with the P.A. they could separate and treat more patients. They do not change diapers and let patients sit in urine all day until the develop UTI and die. This is a disgrace. All other rehabs let family visit but this one because they do not want the truth to come out. May each patient be blessed to get the hell out of this place

To all considering placing yourself or lovedones in Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center. I am a employee at this facility and have been for several years. Here at LPHCR non covid residents are and have been exposed to Covid-19 positive patients, we continue to see admissions from all over the state in fact which in itself puts us all at risk on a daily basis. Their has been a number of employees quit and on occasion simply walk out. We do not have propper PPE and are told to purchase our own. We (Employees) are overworked, underappreciated, disregarded, and underpaid. In short we are expected to work under extraordinary and provoked conditions which prevent residents from receiving the care and attention to detail they desperately need and deserve from showers, 1 on 1s (which prevent falls ect), assistance with feeding, we are unable to assist residents in getting out of bed so that they may sit in they''re chair, meals are more often than not served cold just to mention a few and paint a clear picture. There is atleast a handful of patients that clearly do not belong here as we are not a mental health facility as some of these residents have lashedout aggressivly by running though the building exposed somtimes leaving other residents in fear or uneasy among other things. There are signs outside that boldly say HEROS work here. The government issues a fund for HEROS bonus for front line workers etc. which that we have not gotten nor has it been mentioned here. While our employer and your lovedones care provider is doing everything they can to keep us all at risk daily and not much of anything for prevention we are told if we get CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19) if we want to get paid for those 14days of quartine we have to use our vacation time and if we dont have any we can pull from our vacation time for next year and should we quit they will take it from our last check. Soon within the weeks to come they are talking about intergrating NON-COVID with COVID POSITIVE patients. I am a healthcare professional my job is to keep my patients healthy and happy and I love doing just that. This facility only cares about filling beds not the persons in them. I will continue to keep you updated. God Bless 0
