We contacted Home Instead of Forest Hills and they were there for us immediately and without hesitation. The care they provided our Aunt was unmatched and she has thrived under their watchful eye. The home health aids are all wonderfully caring people and the office staff is unmatched in their helpfulness. We heartily recommend Home Instead of Forest Hills to anyone looking to provide care for a loved one. These folks are the best there is.

We have used aides from the Forest Hills Home Instead for over five years for my mother. That length of time should tell you upfront how pleased we are. Initially aides were needed for just part of the day. As my mother needed more care as she got older, Beverly worked with us to expand the hours. Now we have four aides who work 12-hour shifts around the clock. We live over 1000 miles away and would not be able to keep Mom in her home as she wants without the wonderful women who take care of her. (We have met all of the current aides during pre-Covid trips to see Mom, as well as communicate with them on the phone, and can honestly say we like each one.) Beverly and her office have worked with us over the years to minimize new people when an aide is sick or going to be on vacation since changes make Mom very anxious. As sometimes happens, if my mother just doesn't like a person, that has also been resolved quickly. If I'm concerned about something, I call or email and Beverly decides with us what action to take. If an aide is concerned about a change in my mother's health, Beverly lets us know. She even called us when the pandemic became bad in NYC to tell us what precautions they were having the aides take. Communication is easy and prompt. I have no reservations about marking five stars.

if you are considering Home Instead Forest Hills, I would advise you to look elsewhere for homecare for your loved one. The owner will come to your home at 9:00pm on a weekend to sign up a new client, and pretends to be very interested in their well-being, but she's all in it for the money. When you decide not to use her service anymore because she sent someone who rode the subway and an uber from manhattan with no change of clothes during covid-19, she will hold it against you. She finds a way to keep your two week deposit when you terminate services with her due to her own negligence, and will not pick up your calls or return your voicemail messages to her. The first aide she sent to my home came off the bus, didn't wash her hands when she came in the house, and proceeded to stir my husband's oatmeal. I had to tell her to please wash her hands, she ran them under the water and dried them on my dish towel when paper towel was right there. I had to ask her to use soap in her hands to wash them, not just water. So if you want to make sure your loved ones are in good hands, do not use Home Instead Forest Hills. They do not have a genuine interest in your loved ones welfare. There are plenty of other responsible agencies.
