Everyone was very nice
I stayed at Hillcrest for rehab after heart surgery and had a great experience. The staff was attentive when I had issues that required a trip back to the hospital and gave great care after I came back from the hospital.

Stay FAR away from this facility. My mom was here for about a week. She decided to come to this facility as her rehab before she went home because both of her parents had been here many years ago. Little did we know how terrible it had gotten. She had just started dialysis treatments during her hospital stay prior to going to Hillcrest. It was very important she kept on schedule for eating because her body was very weak. There were multiple times her food was delivered hours after it was ordered. There was one time she didn''t get fed before a dialysis treatment so she was extremely weak. Another time her food just never came. On Halloween my dad and I visited her as we did everyday in the evening. She was extremely disoriented and could barely speak. Her condition worsened overnight. I was so concerned I called the nurse that night and she had no interest in checking on my mom "she was stable". We got there the next day in the early morning, My mom was in such bad condition they requested transportation to the hospital. Well, we waited and waited for transportation and it kept getting canceled because "she wasn''t an emergency" finally we said we would transport her ourselves so the aides had to get my wheelchair bound mom out to my SUV. What a disaster for my mom. Turns out it actually was an emergency because my mom passed not long after her stay. The other experience that sticks with me is the kitchen aide who was aggressively talking to me and said I had yelled at them earlier one particular night. I repeatedly let them know I didn''t yell at them I just asked where my mom''s dinner was. After many times of explaining it wasn''t me who yelled at them, they said "ok, then we don''t have a problem then". I''m not sure what the "problem" would have been? This place had alot of bad apples mixed in with a few good people who deserve to work for a better facility. I didn''t know if my mom was safe there or not half the time. We tried desperately to get her out before she was taken back to the hospital. Honestly, this place should be shut down.
