The nursing staff is a joke. My father was there for only 2 days due to the ineptitude of the staff. Starting with giving the wrong medication dose within his first hour there, to being told he could pull himself up since his arms work, his pressure wounds were not cared for as they had been at the hospital, not washing hands after changing his ostomy bag with no gloves, not being given a call button (it was on the floor) etc etc. For these reasons my mother insisted he be removed from that facility immediately. One of the staff even told my mother that she would never send her family member there. This facility needs a complete overhaul in staffing and this time train them. We will be following up to make sure both management and ownership are aware of the incompetence of their nursing staff.

I have heard so much about this facility and while it has been around for a very very long time it''s also a very reputable place indeed. Today I am actually going to Heather hill to seek employment in the maintenance department while I simply love taking care of and helping the elderly community. I''ve done this for such a long time now and really enjoy it.. what brings me to the heather hill facility is the knowledge of a great staff and great stability in the company itself. I also have a great friend who was staying in Heather hill who has since passed away, but because of her I was able to really get to know the facility and the great care they give to all there community and the love they show is amazing. I hope today that I may be an employee and make more people smile.

My Aunt Barb was recently at Heather Hill in Hospice, Chardon in Area E and I cannot thank the staff enough for the love and compassion they gave her during her last few months of life. I am also a nurse and can’t give them enough credit for the tough job of caring for the aging and dying. You have to be a special person and I just wanted to thank them for all they do. She was washed, repositioned, and was listened to by everyone there. It wasn’t easy at times when she was losing her mental capacity, yet they never wavered in her care. I have sincere concerns about this facility. I have had friends or family who have been in a few different physical rehabs in the Cleveland area over the past two years but this is the first time I am writing a review. Unless you can physically check on your loved one daily, and your loved one can keep track of their own treatment, I would not recommend this rehab. There have been some very serious health consequences for my loved one resulting from the care they received at Heather Hill. I may update this review.
