Administrator and Admissions coordinator were both great to deal with. We were looking to transfer a resident from another facility and admissions coordinator responded right away when we could not get a response from other facilities.
Great staff and caring administration. I could not ask for better for my family friend who was a recent resident. Healthcare is very difficult in todays times and they are a team who work for the betterment of their patients.

This past year we had to move my Uncle from Michigan to this facility. He had a sharp decline in a short period of time. The facility he was temporarily staying in Michigan was horrific! It contributed to his decline. Luckily, the staff at ProMedica Kettering definitely did well by my Uncle. Having just seen another facility (in Michigan), it was a drastic improvement. When we arrived, Eric Felton, the Unit Manager, helped get my Uncle out of the car after a long drive. Eric was very compassionate and treated my Uncle with dignity. Kate Schmidt in admissions worked long hours on his transportation for dialysis and was able to get him into a single room as he was totally blind and needed that accomodation. Tracy Bibb and Linda Matney (both STNA) treated him with great care, and talked with him about his life (something that made him feel very at home). Dawn Shelby, in OT, was attuned to my Uncle''s abilities while he was in such a weakened state. Rather than canceling OT when he was weak, she would find something he could do: like rather than lift light weights, she would have him brush his teeth. This still addressed his mobility issues and allowed him to keep progressing. Dr. Kahlon and Diane Kallenbach, NP...wow! They were on the ball with his health issues and made medication changes that were critical to his care. If the doctor at the Michigan facility had been as knowledgeable and alert as Dr. Kahlon, my Uncle wouldn''t have suffered so much. Diane K kept us informed and up to date on all of his medical needs. Picking a facility can mean life or death for some people. ProMedica Kettering proved that they have the right people in the right places doing the right thing by their residents.
