The facility is nice. But management is horrible. They can’t keep employees. Employees give residents the bare minimum care. If the resident calls too much they will take residents phone off the hook to prevent calls. Constantly hiring people with no experience & not training them properly which leads to neglect. They don’t care about employees and show favoritism. Please don’t send your love ones here.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Hearth and Home at Vandalia. They uphold the dignity of every resident and meet them where they are at in their abilities. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hearth and Home at Vandalia. They uphold the dignity of every resident and meet them where they are at in their abilities. The actual floor plan of the facility is very effective in having a great common room for everyone to come together. The staff has always been helpful and friendly with me and my father. My father has complained at times that the food is too spicy, but usually it's always good. I really don't get information about the activities. I know a calendar is posted, but I am usually very focused. They seem to have a good variety of them, from what my father says. This facility is definitely a great value for cost!
