Insurance Scammers! They will try to keep your loved one’s till they can’t get the insurance money anymore. My mom was admitted to this facility in June for a short rehabilitation to her left leg, 3 months passed by, and my mom was still no discharged. I kept calling the social worker Elizabeth about my mom’s status and discharged date, and she kept giving me the run around and never was able to be truthful to me event in person, I even talked to other people in charge and nothing. After I already had enough with the social workers there, I decided to discharge her myself. My mom was able to do everything by herself already and there was no need to have her there in the conditions that the facility was. I must say that the workers that work there are nice and friendly people who do try as much to take care of the patients. During my visits there were times that the floors upstairs had no air conditioning, no ice, nothing to drink for them, every time I went, I had to buy my mom groceries for her to have especially the food. Food was always the same no matter what day it was, and it was terrible the food. If you choose to have your loved one here, make sure you are on top of them and of your loved ones, since some of the patients there do not seem to be taken care very well. My advice to this facility, is fire your social workers and hire people that are competent of their work, ensuring that they follow up with loved ones about the status of the patients. Even all of the management here are terrible.

The social workers Ms. Elizabeth Hills and Ms. Syreeta Palmer we’re exceptionally helpful dealing with the care of my brother! They answered all my questions and kept me up to date on all that was going on.

My dad was admitted from the hospital on Friday 5/13/22 for short term rehabilitation to strengthen his legs to ambulate he has arthritis and had (double knee replacement). My Dad had a fall before his admission to Harlem Center. Mt Sinai did xrays ruled out any fractures but hs right arm hurts to touch or move and his right hand was swollen. To date his hand is getting dark abd has not been addressed yet. I visit everyday in chronological order below: Sat 5/14/22 I visited from 10:30am-5pm while visiting my dad asked to use bathroom but staff said "he can''t get out of bed until Monday because he hasn''t been evaluated yet. I gave him the urinal but he wanted to have a bm and my dad was very dismayed that he had to move his bowels in bed in a Diaper. It took 1 hour and 48 minutes for the staff to change him. (I would change but my dad didn''t want me his daughter to change him) and there was no supplies in room to use. Sun 5/14/22 my stepmother visited and demanded that the staff switch beds my dad is 6"3 and was still in a twin bed. Monday my dad was in a full size bed but still his hand has not been addressed and he was not evaluated until tge next day on Tuesday 5/17/22 my sister visited bought breakfast my daughter and I visited and brought him lunch upon arrival he was in bed wet and his new shorts were soiled with urune hanging to dry my daughter demand to talk to AOD and I the MD because his hand is turning dark across the knuckles and his toes look dark. My sister and I agreed we will pop up and yesterday evening she returned to find our dad naked from the waist down you rate the care I described above. With all said I met with Ms Ceaser Administrator Director about transferring my dad another story to long to type. BEWARE here is poor care.
