I was discharged to this facility for rebab following total hip replacement surgery. They were clearly not set up for someone needing these services. There were no safety precautions in place. Following a hip replacement I am considered a “fall risk”. There were no bed rails on my bed which are necessary to assist me in getting in and out of bed. I was told that the maintenance man may be able to put them on the next day. There were no raised toilet seats, commodes or toilet bars in the bathroom to assist there. There is no a/c in the rooms, fans only which were not turned on making the room overheated. I did not feel at all safe here and discharged myself after one hour.
Read moreMy father was admitted to Oak Hill on 12/16 and I am so happy he''s there. The staff really cares about the well-being of their patient''s and their happiness.
The staff goes out of the way to keep communication open with the family. We are spread out across the US and it means so much to my brother who is there...and he is really well aware of all the effort and that the staff works hard to help all the residents.
