Georgetown Living is a great fit for Alzheimer's patients. Rooms are smaller and shower is at the end of hall. I see now how this type of set up is great!!! Great facility that would meet needs of loved one.
Staff are terrific!
I never actually went to Georgetown Living. They had a wait list and we needed immediate placement. However being a working farm it seemed ideal for my gentleman farmer dad. I never actually went to Georgetown Living. They had a wait list and we needed immediate placement. However being a working farm it seemed ideal for my gentleman farmer dad. I will say this about Georgetown Living -[name removed] was helpful in providing information beyond his facility in trying to help me. I give him credit for that.

I toured Georgetown Living Alzheimer's Residences. When you pull up to the driveway, they have these big, huge longhorns on their property. They have 15 acres of land and it's a very nice place. They took us amongst the population. I ended up sitting with one lady and an old man (a colonel), and ended up giving him a hug. So, I liked that place. The amount of money was OK, but I think it was just a little too structured for my uncle. He's going to need a little bit more leeway and a little more homey place. It seemed like a really well run family business. It's very clean. The memory care is a locked facility. They have basically a couple of different wings and then each wing is set up with caregivers and then there's a nurse. They serve home cooked meals and provide activities. The rooms were a little smaller, but they were set up better. You have a wing and then down through the center of it you have the kitchen, a living room, an activity area, and then all of the rooms are facing the center area. So, it felt like they would have a little bit more supervision over the people. However, when I called back yesterday, their staff answered the phone a little rudely, and I never got a call back so that I could ask them a couple more questions.
