If you have a family member or yourself trying to heal and get better physically, do not go here , if i could give 0 stars I would. Nurses and aides are rude they are not attentive, lack empathy , lack sympathy and they lack the number one thing in healthcare you need which is patience. A family member was a patient here and instead of progressing they declined aggressively , admitted as a patient just for a little therapy to progress self sufficiently, declined to the point they couldn’t walk or feed themselves anymore. Aids get upset you rang the call bell for assistance they will yell outside of the room “why is this call bell on” as if you are not in your most vulnerable state trying to get assistance. Nurses are rude and lack professionalism instead of having patience they yell at patients on the care they are trying to give the patient if the patient has dementia and refuses. Worst healthcare center I ever been in and I worked in healthcare for over five years.

I rang the bell for help going to the bathroom. A PCA came to my room and asked can I help you. I was a new admission , I had back surgery twice in one week. I rang the bell for help going to the bathroom. A PCA came to my room and asked can I help you. I was a new admission , I had back surgery twice in one week. I bled into my spine after the first surgery and the post op pain was horrific. She stood by my bed with her arms crossed and said, I don’t know what you want me to do.” I don’t like asking for help as it is. So I looked at her shocked that someone would see me struggling to get up and say that to me. So I said” I guess you don’t know how to do your job. She said I can’t quote her exactly because she walking away but it had to do with me not knowing what her job was. Little did she know that I was a nurse for 30 years. I declined any further help from her because I was vulnerable and didn’t know how she would handle me. So I made it back to bed without her assistance. I had to pry her name out of my nurse. But If I were the nurse in charge I would have her fired immediately. She started screaming at me and I kept telling her to get out of my room. And she kept screaming at me. So welcome to Montclair care Center!
